Salt Spring Island is one of the southern Gulf Islands between Vancouver Island, close to both Victoria British Columbia and Vancouver British Columbia. Salt Spring Island is connected to Victoria British Columbia and Vancouver British Columbia by BC Ferries, as are all other Gulf Islands. Saltspring is due west of Vancouver BC. Saltspring Island has easy access from Victoria and from Vancouver BC. Saltspring Island is the largest and most habited of the Islands between BC's mainland and Vancouver Island. It is well worth a visit or an extended stay. There are lots of artists, artisans and crafters scattered throughout the Island. Salt Spring Island has a number of good places to eat. The commercial centre of Ganges on Salt Spring Island has most commercial services and most of the places to eat. Be sure to take in the Saturday Market in Ganges. Salt Spring Island in British Columbia is the jewel of the Southern Gulf Islands. It is nestled up against the east side of Vancouver Island.
